Your privacy is important to us. Here's how we manage and use your personal data. Please note that this Privacy Policy is part of our Terms of Use and should be read as such. Terms such as we, us and Inyahead are defined there.

We take protecting your privacy seriously. Please read this privacy policy carefully. It describes what information we collect, how it is used, and when it is shared so you can make smart decisions about how you use Inyahead! It applies to all interactions with Inyahead, including interactions with our Apps Deutsch Inyahead and English Inyahead.

Your use of and/or registration with Inyahead will constitute your agreement to our policy. If you cannot agree to the terms and conditions set forth below, please do not use our services. Additionally, our Privacy Policy is part of our Terms of Use, and by using Inyahead you agree to both.

About this Policy

Inyahead is an open platform that allows you to create and publicly share words, wordpacks and example sentences for the purposes of revising a language. We collect some information in order for you to have an account you can use to participate in the service, and other information that is necessary to make the service work. Our goal in developing our privacy practices is to allow your participation to remain as anonymous as you choose and we don’t sell or profit from the information you share with us.

We do take efforts to make sure the platform keeps working. This includes using your information, where necessary, to stop spam and activities that violate the user agreement. We also share your information when we are legally required to do so. Please read this privacy policy carefully. It describes what information we collect, how it is used, and when it is shared so you can make informed decisions about how you use Inyahead.

What Information We Collect

Registration Information

When you create an account, you are required to provide a display name, email address that is used as your username and a password, which we save.

When you use the service, we save the following information about your preferences and your interactions to allow you to customize your experience: your language preference, last email address used to log in, a secured hash of your password, your installed wordpacks and associated word data, your current level preferences, a randomly generated GUID to uniquely identify running instances of the app, whether you have claimed the facebook offer, timestamp of last login and the timestamp of last activity. This information is saved for on your device to enable the service to work, and is also saved on our server in anonymised form to assist us in improving the service.

Wordpack and word data

If you choose to create Wordpacks and/or submit words in any of their various forms, this data will be saved on our server. How we use this data is covered in our Terms of Use. If you have the write access for a Wordpack, you are able to mark a Wordpack or a word as deleted at any time. This will not erase the data from our server, but rather mark it as deleted. However, we only save the most recent version of Wordpacks and words, so your previous edits, once overwritten, are no longer available.

Analytics Data

Analytics data is automatically collected by our systems when you visit Inyahead, including anonymised data about the type of software used to access the site (browser, operating system, encryption method used), the address of the external or internal page that referred you, the different pages you visit, and generally how you intereact with the service. This information is anonymised and not used to identify any specific user.

How We Use or Disclose Collected Information

Your Information is only used to improve our service

It takes a lot of work to keep our service running and prevent abuse, and we sometimes use your data in order to facilitate this. Your information is used internally only where necessary to provide our services. For instance, we save a randomly generated GUID to investigate issues with our service, track and block suspected spammers, and otherwise maintain the integrity of the community.

Your Private Information Is Never for Sale

This means that we will only share your personal data with your consent, and after letting you know what information will be shared and with whom, unless it is otherwise permitted in this policy. We do not sell or otherwise give access to any information collected about our users to any third party.

Anonymous, aggregated information that cannot be linked back to an individual user may be made available to third parties.

We Will Not Disclose Your Information Unless Required by Law

We may disclose – or preserve for future disclosure – your information if we believe, after due consideration, that doing so is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, or valid legal process. If we are going to release your information, we will do our best to provide you with notice in advance unless we are prohibited by court order from doing so.
